It all started with a dream. A dream that one day, The Philippine Ultimate National Womens Team also known as The Binibinis will travel across the Philippine islands to share the ultimate knowledge and develop the Womens Ultimate Program in the country. Right after their inspiring campaign at the recently concluded World Ultimate and Guts Championship in London, They began doing what they are suppose to do. They started realizing what is the real reason why they were all bonded together. The Binibinis were not only gathered together to represent our country in the international arena, but they are also destined to spread the knowledge to every female in the country who are interested to learn more about Ultimate the right way.
After a Successful Manila Leg, Binibinis Head Coach, Randall Ty, together with Oli Chaluyan-Ty, Map Pangilinan, Jo Civil, and Chlods Manguerra flew in to Iloilo city to continue spreading the good word about Womens Ultimate in the Visayas. They were welcomed by their fellow Binibini and Iloilo city resident, Sheila Gascon, who is also part of the coaching staff in the Visayas Leg. The camp was held at Central Philippine University (DAY 1) and at The La Paz Plaza Football field (DAY 2)

From beginners to Intermediate class, there were about 40 Ilonggas from Iloilo, Bacolod and Dumaguete city who signed up for the 2 day weekend camp. From participants who haven't thrown a disc before to former players who haven't played the game for quite some time, the camp had a variety of participants last weekend. It was definitey a challenge, but very rewarding for the coaches to share some basic to intermediate drills and fundamentals to the future Binibinis.

The 2 day camp was all about sharing the knowledge on how to be better Ultimate players, but I think the most important ingredient that the coaches shared to these young athletes was to build their confidence on and off the field. That they are not there just to fill up the line or just to run around and wait for someone to pass them the disc in the end zone. B! Camp teaches how these young women can be confident on the field and in life. That these ladies will soon have the courage to tell their teammates that "Hey, I'm your go to girl. You can count on me". The coaches made sure that after the Camp, these future Binibinis will fall in love with Ultimate a bit more. And I think they did absolutely that.

It was definitely a fun weekend here in Iloilo city. I'm sure the participants learned a lot of amazing stuff from the coaches, and will definitely have more understanding about the sport that they choose to love. I truly hope that the Binibinis will continue to spread the good word of Womens Ultimate in the coming years. It's a great program. I've seen a lot of great female talents around the Philippines, and with B! Camp now slowly heading over to different places around the country discovering all these amazing female athletes; soon, the Philippine Womens Ultimate will undoubtedly be one of the strong contenders on the world stage. I do believe it. Until then... More images to share. More Stories to tell.... It's All About U!

See you in Pampanga!
