When Frisbee Players Gives Back!

"A week ago, June 17 (Wednesday to be exact), as you've all probably heard, a huge fire destroyed 4 hectares & blazed at least 50-60 homes at a residential area in Talipapa Bukid, Barangay Manoc-Manoc, in the island of Boracay. these families & individuals lost everything, with some being at work & on duty, not even knowing their homes went up in smoke.
A call to action was sent from across the seas via the combined efforts of several selfless, fellow-island dwellers and news quickly reached & spread to us here in Manila. it is truly heart-warming that during times of need, we could rely on our fellow-players to lend a helping hand & extend help to those in need, even though we never really knew these victims personally.
Our heartfelt thanks to all those who prayed & sympathized with them, but EVEN MORE to those who went out of their way to donate goods, solicited for funds, assembled hygiene kits or simply brought whatever they could share to these poor families that were badly hit.

The donations included:
-At least sixty (60) assembled hygiene kits
-Canned goods
-Rice
-Variety of used clothing
-Variety of other personal hygiene products
-Books
-Others donated cash & were used to purchase other very useful items
All-in-all, the items totaled 224 kilos & were sent to the island (most probably either today, Thursday or tom, Friday via-AP Cargo, Manila to Caticlan)"
